1.6.3 Current

Installer reliability, cloud license compatibility, and a web downloader

A maintenance release that clears installer locks, clarifies cloud licensing, and lightens the download.

  • FixInstaller file lock resolved. Processes left running after uninstall (Print Watcher, browser sub-processes, the OCR engine) could lock a fresh install; the installer now safely closes all related processes before copying files. The “another process” error is fixed.
  • FixCloud license compatibility. Cloud (online) users could incorrectly see “DEMO / License Inactive”; license interpretation for cloud tenants was corrected → a clean “LICENSED” state.
  • ImprovedLicense/plan refresh. In online mode, license validation now runs every 60 minutes instead of every 12 hours (plan and premium changes apply faster). On-prem mode keeps the 12-hour interval.
  • ImprovedEdition-aware auto-update. The update check now targets the correct update server for the installed edition.
  • NewWeb downloader. Instead of an 800+ MB direct download, a ~1.8 MB lightweight downloader fetches the full setup in the background — with visible progress and resume if the connection drops. On-prem deployment is unaffected (full installer via SCCM).

Runs without a .NET installation

The OCR engine now bundles its own runtime — no prerequisite install on the customer PC.

  • Fix“You must install .NET to run this application” error fixed. Although the main app bundles its own .NET runtime, the OCR engine (YesPDF.Ocr.Cli) was framework-dependent; OCR/scanning failed on PCs without .NET 8 (hostfxr.dll). The OCR engine is now built self-contained — no prerequisite install is required.

Right-click convert to PDF, full localization, and a resilient session

A comprehensive release that speeds up daily workflows and fully localizes the interface.

  • NewRight-click → Convert to PDF. Windows context menu for 14 file types — Office (Word/Excel/PPT), text and 7 image formats — fast conversion even without Adobe.
  • NewDocument Analysis (Document Intelligence) tool added.
  • ImprovedNon-blocking OCR. The app stays responsive during processing; a Processing Report (signature/stamp, table and image counts) is shown at the end.
  • ImprovedArabic searchable-PDF recognition improved (code-point normalization, line merging, logical reading order).
  • ImprovedFull localization. 193 missing translations completed for German, Spanish, French and Portuguese; dashboard, sign-in/license/2FA/settings and tools are now fully localized.
  • ImprovedSession resilience. If the license/session drops on the server, the app no longer closes — it falls back to view mode with a “Sign in to edit” note.
  • FixOCR language selection now passes correctly to the engine (Turkish / English / Arabic).
  • FixTurkish İ/Ş font issue resolved (embedded font in Word); “Open with” for Office documents fixed.
  • ImprovedSigned installer (SHA-256 + DigiCert timestamp); CEF cache moved to %LOCALAPPDATA%\YesPDF\cef-cache.

Arabic searchable PDF, copy quality, and a multilingual interface

Our most comprehensive release — focused on document recognition and multilingual use.

  • NewArabic (right-to-left) searchable PDF. Scanned Arabic documents are now searchable and copyable, with text that comes through correctly in standard viewers.
  • NewXML → PDF generation. Turn XML files into PDFs using ready-made templates (General, Invoice, Report, Receipt) — including e-invoices.
  • ImprovedSearchable-PDF copy quality. Text copied from Turkish and English documents now preserves full line integrity.
  • ImprovedMultilingual interface. Added German, Spanish, French, and Portuguese interface support.
  • ImprovedUninterrupted conversions. Every conversion runs in the background — keep working with other documents while a job runs.
  • FixOCR language selection. The chosen document language is now applied correctly in every case.
